Last Meow Questions

• What is wrong with Lady? What is the treatment? How much will

it cost to treat her?

Lady's kidneys are failing. The treatment is to first have a dialysis and if she survives that a transplant. It'll cost $15,000.

• What kind of person is Shawn Levering, her owner? How can you

tell?

Shawn is a person who clearly cares a lot about his pets. How can I tell? It takes a certain type of person to pay $15,000 just for your pet to receive a transplant.

• What kind of person is the veterinarian, Cathy Langston? How

can you tell?

She's a person who cares about her job and cares about the animals that come in. The fact that she has a whole team on stand-by shows she cares.

• Why do you think Shawn is willing to pay for Lady’s treatment? Is

he the kind of person you would expect to pay for high-cost treat-

ment for a pet?

He cares for his pets. And yes I did expect him to do that. Any person who has a pet is bound to get attached to them.

Pets inspire people to go beyond what anyone would expect.

Little Pink Eyes and Effed Up Goldfish

Pets? Important?

Why, yes they are. Pets cause people to care and love and cherish. And even though they may be a ton of work people gladly do it. Cause people have a, uh, void in there lives sometimes or maybe they just don't like people, I don't know. But the point is people just care. And I'm not gonna delve into this further cause, uh, what's the point when you already know yourself? This isn't deep stuff people.

BEWARE: A THESIS LURKS HERE

SERIOUSLY. RUN.

Oscar Wilde, an Irish novelist and poet once said, "One can survive everything
nowadays, except death, and live down anything, except a good reputation." Through
this, Oscar acknowledges that everything in society is pretty much escapable, but living
up to a good reputation within the community, is a constant and continuous effort. In the
book "The Crucible," Arthur Miller portrays multiple characters outliving and getting past
the strict moral values in an attempt to keep up with a good reputation through John
Proctor, Reverend Paris, and Abigail Williams.

In the long past history of man, there has been many battles, tears, blood. Most likely
those disagreements were caused because of reason; mostly involving freedom. Yet, in
the past, there may have been some that weren't even worth taking to the extreme. If
you really had the time to look back at both huge or/ idiotic conflicts. They both had
lives, it really didn't matter, how intense the conflict was. Especially, if the conflict was
around a society of pure reputation, like, "The Crucible." It was revolved around
reputation because when the people in Salem were living, their lives were based on
religion. Their lives had a lot of secrets and and gossip. Even though it was a sin to talk
about others, some still did it. Except for those few people that were different,so in a
way they never existed. So, they weren't going to be missed, when the whole talk of
witch craft happened. Although, there were a few main characters, that were got blamed
on; even though It was mostly for the accusers own enjoyment. It really did get intense,
just because the people didn't stop and think. The accusers didn't have any proof, for
framing most of them. All the harm the accusers caused, towards the falsely accused;
was purely because they were protecting their own reputation.

The Crucible takes place in colonial America when society was just developing. The
tight knit societies of the the Northern Colonies made it easy for the people in the town-
ships to have some knowledge of others life and family. This closeness in living made it
easy for people to find out bad things about others and if they have committed an
unlawful crime or action that is beyond the average norm. Reputation is extremely
important in Salem, where public and private moralities are one and the same. In an
environment where reputation plays such an important role, the fear of guilt by
association becomes particularly baleful. Focused on maintaining public reputation, the
townsfolk of Salem must fear that the sins of their friends and associates will taint their
names. John Proctor and Abigail Williams, and have shown the most dismay in trying to
protect their name through out the play, and at no expense will they let their names be tarnished. Parris is also a character who yearns to keep his name white, to retain his status of minister of Salem.

They were a LOT more unique than the others and made me want to bludgeon myself a lot less. They gave some background which was nice. And yes they give me ideas on how to improve.

6. Make a fill in the blank story for SAT Words 1-15. Make an answer key as well. Kevin, Ismahan, Bridget

The first day of school led to the last day of three kids lives. Yaquiline, the
lothario, Yessica, the maverick, and Yanessa, the nemesis of Yaquiline. On that day, they experienced a philippic between each other in English class. It started fine, they all sat down in class while Mr. Schreiber introduced himself and the class. They figured out he was a jingoist, because he was wearing a red, white, and blue tuxedo. But after seeing that, they realized who was amongst them. . . the infamous “Y Ladies.”
Yaqualine, and Yanessa, hated each other because Yaqualine took a bite of Yanessa’s Spicy Chicken Sandwich, which led to Yanessa calling Yaqualin
tawdry. Yaqualine, or “Yaquie”, stated that as a philanderer, she slept with Yanessa’s boyfriend. Yanessa’s previous view of as a quixotic young girl, immediately went away.
One day Yessica came to school and yelled at Yanessa and Yaqualine using
solecism, Yessica couldn’t say anything because she felt saturnine because of all those spicy chicken burgers that she ate. Yaqualine didnt really care because she was a procrustean, she was tired of arguing. So the rivalry between Yanessa and Yaqualine came to an end. Many people say it was a pyrrhic, because even after the argument, they still were not friends.
But the weird part of the story is, why didn’t Yessica get involved? She has the
spoonerism of words that confuses the Y Ladies to death. But recently she found the Y Ladies protean and unbearable. She could have won this argument and be the number one Y lady and live in sybarite for the rest of her life!!

Am I seriously blogging about this?

This seems more like an excuse to be on the computer in class than anything else.
Wait, why am I complaining?

I'd do it for a Klondike Bar

Nope. I don't plan on dying anytime soon thank you very much.

Ok! Proper response time! It'd have to be something I really truly believed in. I'm not about to go killing myself for something I don't believe in 100%

We worked together okay. Two people were goofing off and being of like no help, but whatever. We did it and I'm happy. End of story. And keeping seven people on track is incredibly difficult i hope you know. Handling 4-5 people is a lot more manageable. I really hope you don't make us act out a script again because I find it pointless. I'd rather read the part than attempt to act it out.
